Best Practices for When the Offseason is Coming to a Close

If you store your equipment away over the winter, There are a few best practices to make sure you have your equipment set up and running smoothly before your first event of the season:

  • Setup, test and update all point-of-sale units. If you put your POS units away for winter storage, it is important to get all of them out and connected so the system can run updates.
  • Testing your equipment and running all Windows updates will ensure it is ready to go as you begin your season.  This also allows ample time in case you need any support.
  • If you have a Trackside WiFi network installed, it is important that you test access from all areas of your facility. Please notify us of any issues as soon as possible.
  • If you have Trackside WiFi, your network equipment will require periodic firmware updates. If your network is supported by Trackside, you can schedule to have these updates performed.  Regular updates on network equipment are important for continued reliable operation and performance.
