My Trackside Handheld Receipt Printer isn't Printing

This article will assist you in troubleshooting the receipt printer malfunctioning on the Trackside Handheld.

Step 1 - Ensure the Paper You're Using is Correct

The printer paper in the Trackside Handheld should be 2 1/4 inch x 50 ft (57mm x 15.25m) thermal paper. The paper must be of the thermal variety to work in the Handheld.

Step 2 - Ensure Printer Paper Loaded Correctly

Thermal paper is only made to print on one side. See Loading Paper in the Trackside Handheld for assistance on how to orient the paper.

Step 3 - Make Sure the Core from the Last Roll Isn't in the Handheld

The core of the thermal paper roll from some manufacturers is black, as is the interior of the Handheld. Ensure the old core isn't left behind when changing out the paper, because it's easier to miss than you may think.
