Most Common Resolution - Duplicated Events

The easiest way for this error to appear is from inputting the same event twice. When the ticket products generated by the Event Setup Assistant are set on the same day with the same variations for events with the exact same Event Listing name, as would happen when the same event is created while the old one still exists, duplicate Product SKUs will also be generated. Trackside won't be able to tell which of the SKUs it needs to sell.

Duplicate Ticket Products

To resolve this problem, the more recent Event Listing and associated Participant Registration Product and General Admission Ticket Product must be deleted.

You shouldn't be able to sell Products from the more recent Event Listing in theory, since there's a duplicate SKU, but remember the rule of thumb, never delete a Product you've already sold tickets for. If somehow you manage to sell tickets on both of the duplicated Event Listings, unpublish both events, create a 3rd event, and name it something slightly different toward the beginning of the event name. You'll then have to transfer any previously purchased tickets for each user to the new event, (Transfer a Ticket / Product) or use the Event Cancellation feature and let them re-buy new tickets. Either way, on the day of the event, be prepared your customers may try to present the wrong tickets since there's no way to take back the old emailed tickets. Urge them to delete the previous emails.
