Important!

There are 3 very important concepts to remember when logging into devices and opening tills:

1. ONE REGISTER PER PHYSICAL DEVICE

There should be ONE Register Station per physical device being used. If you have 3 full size point of sale units, there should be 3 stations in the list to choose from when opening a till.

2. ONE USER PER REGISTER

Each point of sale user should be opening a till for the Register Station they are using. There should NEVER be two individuals opening a till for the same Register Station.

For example, Jim can open a till on register 1 and Bob can open a till on register 2, but Jim and Bob should NEVER both open a till for register 1 at the same time. Doing so will cause accounting and reporting issues.

3. ONE USER PER TILL

Each Register Station with an open till MUST utilize DIFFERENT user accounts. For example: Jim should only be logged into your Trackside site on ONE (physical) Register. If he is logged into more than one (physical) Register and attempts to open a till on one, this will cause issues to occur when using either register (in addition to accounting and reporting issues).
